Create a small niche in a think wall to place a statue and give a halogen spotlight light in niche ceiling.
To begin with, make sure you have all the ingredients necessary make the cocktails and mock tails. Stock up on basic ingredients like crushed ice, lime wedges, lime juice, sugar syrup.
Also ensure that you have good garnish ingredients like cherries, olives, oranges and pineapple cherries. The latest trend is to serve the drink in carved fruits and vegetables or using soup bowls.
Get your finger foods right!
The right starters and snacks to complement these beverages are pivotal. They should be light and small and not messy to eat.
The starters should be small in size. Ideally it should be only be one bite's size with a tooth pick. The sauce should be served in dip bowl and there should be plenty of napkins at hand. Starters for a party should ideally be light and easy to prepare.
Mock tail recipes
Sweet Virgin Mojito
Ingredients
10-12 mint leaves
Lime wedges
5ml lime juice
10ml sugar syrup
50ml apple juice
Soda to top up
Crushed ice
Mint springs/apple slices for garnish
Method
- Muddle together lime and mint in a tall glass.
- Add sugar syrup, lime juice and crushed ice and mix
- Add apple juice and top up with soda.
- Garnish with mint springs or apple slices.
Berry cooler (mock tail)
Ingredients
100ml cranberry juice
Dash of bitters
5-7 ml lemon juice
7up to top up
Ice cubes
Method
- In a shaker, add cranberry juice, lemon juice, a dash of bitters and shake well with ice.
- Strain in a tall glass and top it up with 7up.
- Garnish with a lemon slice
